Slide on those comfy shoes and be ready to explore for a good bit of time, because this old barn is big and FILLED with goodies. A beloved fixture in Asheville’s community, Screen Door is an antique marketplace that showcases a curated selection of antiques, vintage finds, and artisan creations. This eclectic store is known for its vibrant atmosphere and a diverse array of items, making it a favorite destination for those seeking one-of-a-kind pieces.
It leans toward the pricier side, but I’ve always come away with something that I love every time I walk through. From rugs to coffee table books and so much more!
There is talk of this place shutting down sometime soon, so make sure you get a visit in soon, just in case! It’s a gem, for sure.
Marquee
Marquee, located in the River Arts District of Asheville, is an eclectic store with a focus on vintage and industrial items, but they also have lots of local art and cool creations. This stylish and well-curated shop offers a mix of furniture, lighting, and decor that reflects a love for craftsmanship and design. They also have a cool bar in the corner where you can hang out and grab a drink, as well as a few snack options if you get hungry while shopping. There is a LOT to see here, but it’s more curated and artistic than other antique shops. It is on the pricier side, so don’t plan to come here and snag a deal. It’s for unique, pieces you want to splurge on.

I would also consider getting outside the city into the smaller towns! This is a great way to potentially find cheaper prices and avoid crowds of people. Plus you get to have a bit of a fun adventure exploring the mountain towns that are so beautiful in their own ways.
